Yogoda Satsanga Sakha Ashram Dwarahat
The Yogoda Satsanga Sakha Ashram in Dwarahat, established in 1983 by the Yogoda Satsanga Society of India (YSS), holds profound spiritual significance. It stands amidst pine forests, about 1.5 km from Dwarahat town, providing a serene retreat for seekers.
This ashram, founded by Paramahansa Yogananda, emphasizes meditation as a transformative practice, offering mental tranquility and stress relief. Visitors from all walks of life are welcomed, making it a cherished haven for inner peace.
Notably, it is in the same mountainous region where Mahavatar Babaji, the first YSS Guru, revived Kriya Yoga in 1861, passing it on to Lahiri Mahasaya. The ashram is a starting point for visiting the Mahavatar Babaji Cave, adding to its spiritual significance.
